This Sunday's NOURISH ME...& Other dates

Wild at Heart Yoga

Hello Yoginis,

I hope this email find you well and happy despite the grey that abounds in the winter sky marking the Celtic Festival of Imbolc which fell yesterday - halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. This assures us that warmth and light is on the way.

If you are looking for a little ray of sunshine this weekend, this is a quick note to say that I have one spot left for my mini retreat NOURISH ME which takes place this Sunday 9th February. Starting at 10am you will be immersed in a whole three hours of time for you if you can spare it and commit to investing in yourself! Don't forget that we have to fill ourselves up because we can't do the things we do for others and ourselves if we are empty. We begin the morning with a warming yogi tea, followed by some pranayama (breath work) and then move into a dynamic vinyasa yoga flow to stoke the fire within and blow the cobwebs away from what can sometimes feel like stiff bodies. Book here for a last minute weekend treat.

If you are unable to make this date, there are plenty more in the calendar (list below - all are 10am-1pm). I would love to welcome you to these most nourishing of morning/lunchtime sessions. A chance to pause - to sit still, breathe, fall deeper into practice and enjoy a delicious lunch in the warm enclaves of the studio with like minded yogis.

I read something recently that really resonated, I wanted to share it with you. Especially if you feel like you have not practised in a while or have promised yourself you will go back to your mat but haven't or just simply feel dissonance between your mind and body.

'No matter who we are or how long we have been entrenched in self defeating behaviours through regular daily practice we can become present to our own fundamental goodness and the goodness of others. Rediscovering who we really are at our core opens the way to experiencing our most basic level of connection with others. This connectedness lies at the heart of the practice called Yoga. Living in a unitive state is not a esoteric concept and it is not an elusive higher realm that only very clever people can aspire to. It is the opening of the mind to an awareness that encompasses rather than excludes. It is the startling and immediate recognition of our basic sameness.' by Donna Farhi in her book Bringing Yoga to Life.'

As someone said to me at a yogi event I went to recently whilst sitting in a large circle of around 30 people, 'in the circle we are all equal.'

With light,

Gemma
